Special Hardened and Plated Pin Bars :
These Pins Bars are Hardened using controlled heat treatment technology, making the base material much harder than the conventional pin bars.
The hardness of the pins is further enhanced by subsequently plated with suitable Platings.
Plating layer with hardness between 55 to over 60 HRC, lends much longer life and Scratch free performance to the Pin bars.
Superior surface finish; RA value better than 0.05
Low coefficient of friction.
High hardness + low coefficient of friction + Superior surface finish => easy stripping of Capsules, especially the vegetarian Capsules (which are more sticky and less elastic than the Hard gelatine ones.
Minimal use of lubricating agents => an obvious reduction in capsule defects like bubbles, star formations etc. => HIGH quality crystal clear Capsules.
Dimensional accuracy++ / Gauge plan diameter for the entire lot is within ± 5 microns as a standard, which can also be within ± 3 microns, on request.
Plating Adhesion quality is ensured through strict conformance to ASTM-B-571 Standard: Heat Quench Test & Burnishing Test.
Actual working performance of Plated pins is further validated through in-house Accelerated Strip Test.
Un-plated Pin bars :
The Pins are in SS 300 series steel with very close dimensional tolerances.
Uniform Surface hardness of 28-30 HRc imparts longer life.
Superior surface finish with RA value better than 0.05µm
Dimensional accuracy++ / Gauge plan diameter for the entire lot is within ± 5 microns as a standard; which can also be within ± 3 microns, on request.
Hard Chrome Plating (HCP) : This is an excellent coating for wear resistant & abrasion resistant applications such as for moulds and dies, punches, bearings and seal surfaces and sliding components.
Electroless Nickel Plating(ENP): This is deposition of Nickel Phosphorous alloy by advanced RoHS ( Restriction of Hazardous Substance) electroless process resulting in Plating exhibiting superior performance in engineering and functional applications.
